Astre Italia joins forces with Federtrasporti
The Italian structure of the Astre network, Astre Italia, has signed a protocol with Federtrasporti.
Palet System, a new vigour
Palet System, the palletised freight distribution network, is one of the Astre Group’s flagship products.
Created in 2005, the network has grown considerably since its inception, with more than 70 distributors and almost 200 handlers exchanging goods daily at the 10 hubs in France and Europe.
For almost 20 years, Palet System has adapted to changes in the market and its requirements. It is with this dynamic in mind that Palet System wishes to give its network a new impetus in order to face up to the difficulties of the current economic climate.
To this end, the 2024 Distributors’ Meeting was held on 15 February this year, with the aim of presenting a fresh image of the network and discussing important fundamental issues with all those involved.
The event brought together 80 participants to discuss 4 major themes :
- The network spirit is part of our DNA. It’s important to refocus on our fundamentals and shared values. Collective commitment to service quality!
- Business, with Victor Gonzalez, co-founder of Bary, who brought his vision and a new approach to business. Let’s look for new business opportunities in sectors that are still under-exploited.
- Decarbonisation is a major issue affecting all sectors of activity. As the ecological transition has already been initiated at Astre in 2023, what are our levers for action to pursue our efforts with Palet System?
- And finally, the modernisation of our internal digital tools, which is essential for the smooth running and development of our network.
The year 2024 is therefore synonymous with major projects for our Palet System network.
These changes are necessary if we are to continue to offer the best possible quality of service. We need to work together to adapt and anticipate market constraints.

The carrier of the year 2023
On March 27th, Astre was present at the 35th carrier’s trophy ceremony in a “MAGICAL” place, the Parc des Princes, with more than 350 guests.
The programme included a private tour of the stadium, a cocktail party and, of course, the awards ceremony, with in particular the nomination of Transports Barbero, a member of the Astre Group, for the Carrier of the Year award.
