By opting for the decarbonization of its Palet System distribution network, the Astre Group aims to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 50% by 2024 compared to the previous year.
In response to the climate emergency, Astre has made the ambitious choice to adopt low-GHG-emission fuels for all daily trips made by the Palet System network.
Thanks to this transition to more environmentally friendly fuels, Astre Palet System plans to halve its GHG emissions by the end of 2024 compared to 2023. This initiative marks a significant turning point in the transport model established since the network’s creation in 2005.
This decarbonization approach is part of Astre’s overall decarbonization strategy, aligned with the three pillars of the NZI (Net Zero Initiative) framework, aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. This strategy adopts a systemic approach, involving all stakeholders in collective action.
The road freight transport sector, while vital to our societies and daily lives, is also a major contributor to GHG emissions and global warming. By promoting a collective and systemic approach, the unprecedented initiative of the Astre Group is committed to reducing GHG emissions, thereby contributing responsibly to the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.
