From 1 to 5 October, the leaders, partners and supporters of the Astre Group gathered in the beautiful city of Bordeaux for a congress marked by conviviality, strategic reflection and innovation. With more than 430 participants, this event was an opportunity to strengthen the links within the Astre family.
Kick-off at the Faïencerie
The congress kicked off with a gathering at the Faïencerie, bringing together more than 200 executives representing 125 member companies. These key players in the transport and logistics sector, from six different countries, enjoyed a moment of reunion and sharing of experiences, accompanied by 90 family members and 127 partners. Family spirit and collective strength, the pillars of the Astre Group, were the hallmarks of this opening evening.
Showroom at the Palais de la Bourse and Garonne river cruise
The following day, the participants converged on the Palais de la Bourse for the annual showroom, a flagship event enabling managers to meet 127 partners during speed dating sessions and informal discussions. With more than 60 supplier stands, the 200 executives in attendance discovered new solutions tailored to the needs of the sector.
Jérôme Pla, Vice-Chairman of Astre, took the opportunity to introduce Pierrick Denoual, the new Chairman of the Purchasing Committee. The afternoon was rounded off by a musical cruise on the Garonne, providing a relaxing and convivial setting.
An immersive ASTRE gala evening!
Delegates gathered at the Bassin de Lumières, a former submarine base that has become an immersive exhibition space. An unforgettable dinner in the heart of the Astre universe, where the cooperative’s new organisation was showcased. Astriens and partners were able to applaud on stage Denis Baudouin, President of the new Astre Europe structure, as well as the presidents of the European entities: Mr CURCIO Giuseppe, Mr PARDO Juan Carlos, Mr NUNEZ Fernando, Mr KUIJKEN, Mr TONNE Ulf, Mr VAN MIEGHEM Luc and Mr JOLLIVET Gaëtan.
The first conference, led by economist Philippe Dessertine, shed light on current and future economic issues, highlighting the importance of transport operators in the global economy. The second conference focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI), with contributions from specialists such as Jérôme Lucereau and Nicolas Blanchon. Discussions focused on the impact of AI on the sector, from growth opportunities to ecological and legal challenges.
Under the Bordeaux sun, members discovered the treasures of the local vineyards through fun activities such as a barrel race and tastings of different grape varieties. It was a warm welcome that helped to strengthen links between members of the Astre network, in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
The Astre Group was delighted to meet up with its members and exchange views with everyone at the conference.

A look back at Groupement Astre’s first Technical and Mechanical Congress
Astre recently held its very first Technical and Mechanical Congress at the legendary 24-hour Le Mans circuit. This ground-breaking event brought together over 240 participants, including members and 44 partner companies, for two days rich in discovery, exchange and innovation.
